1Old Town Día de los Muertos

WHEN: November 2 | 8 PM

Old Town will be hosting the traditional procession to the El Campo Santo cemetery displaying a public altar. The event consists of three major themes: Remembrance, Community and Celebration. Some believe that the spirits come back in the form of the Monarch butterfly which come in droves to some parts of Mexico.

2. Silver Strand Half Marathon, 10 Miler & Veterans Day 5K

4. Where the City Meets the Sea

6. San Diego Jazz Fest & Swing Extravaganza

The San Diego Jazz Fest is one of the longest running annual music festivals dedicated to celebrating jazz music of the early 20th Century. Since 1980, this event has been held during Thanksgiving weekend in San Diego, California, and features a variety of musical artists performing traditional jazz, swing, blues, ragtime, boogie woogie, gospel, and rhythm and blues.

7. Father Joe’s Thanksgiving Day 5K Run & Walk

WHEN: Nov. 24 | 6:30-11 AM

WHERE: Balboa Park

San Diego’s original and longest-standing Thanksgiving Day “turkey trot” is back, and it’s critical mission remains the same: To provide crucial funds to feed the homeless through Father Joe’s Villages’ meal program.

8. Fallbrook Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

WHEN: Nov. 24 | 7 AM

WHERE: Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens

A fun family Thanksgiving morning to come together with the community to raise money for the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club Foundation while feeling good and creating memories of a lifetime. Our goal is to raise funds for the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary and the Fallbrook Community(s).

9. Boarded! Pirate Adventure at the Maritime Museum

WHEN: Nov 26 | 10:30 AM – 2:15 PM

WHERE: Maritime Museum of San Diego

This hilarious interactive show puts visitors right in the middle of the pirate action. Participants will be sworn in as part of the ship crew, trained how to navigate, sword fight, bail water from a sinking ship, escape from the King’s Jail, swab the deck and other pirate skills. Board at the Maritime Museum and head out on San Diego Bay for this non stop outdoor pirate playground staged aboard the galleon replica San Salvador.

10. Julian Country Christmas Tree Lighting

WHEN: Nov. 26 | 12:30-7:30 PM

WHERE: Julian Town Square

We are so excited to bring you an all new experience for the tree lighting. Music and Holiday Performances throughout the afternoon Christmas Market. Santa Arrives and Greets the Kids (of all ages). This is a FREE event.
