Hidden Meadows is so well Hidden that not too many people know where it is, but once you find it, you will understand why people who live here don’t ever want to leave! I am one of those people.
Hidden Meadows is a small quaint community that feels like a semi-rural, quiet and friendly neighborhood even though it is just a few minutes away from the freeway. According to the census there were 3,463 people, 1,549 households, and 1,149 families residing in Hidden Meadows in 2000.
All the homes in Hidden Meadows look different and almost all of them have spacious backyard. The population density was 409.6 inhabitants per square mile (158.2/km2) in 2000. The architecture of existing homes include Craftsman, Spanish and Tuscan-style among others. Additionally, you can often find lots from one to twenty acres, with spectacular views or flat buildable areas.

The Meadows Restaurant and Tavern
Boulder Oaks Golf Club is sculpted through the rolling hills and majestic century-old oak trees. The course offers breathtaking panoramic views of the San Bernardino and San Jacinto mountain ranges. The lush fairways and roughs are lined by native chaparral and impressive boulders. Well-manicured and receptive greens guarded by 26 greenside bunkers offer a challenge for golfers of all levels. It’s formerly Meadow Lake Golf Club in the Hidden Meadows area of Escondido – has been operating after a soft re-opening in February 2016.
The Meadows Restaurant and Tavern, the Markets and the Side Yard are open during the Gold Course business hours and they are all great places to have a comfortable conversation with other players as you finish your half or full game. If you choose to dine at the Tavern you may also enjoy the view of the golf course from the bar or their large back patio.
The specific and primary purpose of the Meadows Homes Association shall be to repair, maintain, and manage the common areas and common facilities within that certain real estate, common interest development located in the County of San Diego, State of California, and commonly referred to as The Meadows Homes, enforce the governing documents of the association, and otherwise to enhance and promote the use and enjoyment of the common areas and common facilities by the owners in common.
Not all Hidden Meadows properties are part of the covenant, but can choose to pay the yearly association fee for the use of the community pool, tennis courts and pavilion. There are several associations within the community and the HOA fees may vary depending on where the home is located. The HOA fees vary from about $30/mo to almost $200/mo (Silverado).
The average high temperature in July is 81.9 degrees, with an average low temperature in January of 43.2 degrees. The average rainfall is approximately 13.6 inches per year, with 1.8 inches of snow per year.

It is located on the mesa directly above the world famous Lawrence Welk Resort in the northern most part of Escondido, California and is a peaceful, quiet community of approximately 1400 homes.
